El Camino Ranch is the premier riding academy in the Inland Empire providing instruction in all disciplines of horsemanship from the recreation rider to the horseshow competitor. With new pupils, horse safety, tacking, grooming, and moving horses is emphasized. Each lesson includes individual evaluation and instruction to assure a progression of riding skills. Horsemanship classes (live or virtual) are classroom instruction in horse care, anatomy, health, breeds, history, and a wide range of other horse-related topics. A class consisting of a mock horse show with professional judges is held regularly to teach showmanship and to provide feedback. A "horse play-day" class teaches a number of beneficial riding skills through competition between students in a fun environment. Horse Day Clinics are offered throughout the year consisting of five days of concentrated instruction and fun activities related to riding horses. Students that desire to spend more time around horses are eligible to participate in the "Boot Camp" program where they can volunteer to assist the trainers in the care of horses and other activities on a ranch.
