Kandice M. Watts
Kandice Graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a B.S. in Animal Science, with an Emphasis on Equine Studies and a Minor in Agricultural Business Management.
Throughout her life she has been involved in riding, training, and showing horses on many levels.
After graduating from Cal Poly Pomona she joined the W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center to teach basic and intermediate Equitation Lectures and Laboratories.
She then went on to work as an instructor for the next fifteen years teaching students and preparing students for the show ring. Along with her students she participated in the American Saddlebred show circuit for two years and then went on to become a judge at AHA competitions.
Between being an instructor and judge she also found the time to be a mentor to at risk teenage girls. Using western riding as an outlet for these girls she was able to help many at risk teens.
In 2016 Kandice established her very own show barn. She marketed and managed her Arabian Show Stable and provided a comprehensive training program the included : Hunt Seat, Saddle Seat, and Western training for both rider and horse.
She also structured her own lesson program for children, adults, and disabled riders. Students at her went on to compete in local and regional AHA shows.
Aside from her accomplishments as an instructor and judge Kandice also taught a comprehensive summer horsemanship and nutrition course. Students who participated in this course were taught about proper nutrition, horse care, safety, and judging/ hippology.
Lisa Haglund
Lisa Haglund has been riding since she was 7. Throughout her riding career she has been very accomplished and ridden with Grand Prix riders for over 10 years. Rideing hunt seat moving into hunter jumpers for 20 years. Throughout her 30 riding careers she has been teaching lessons she developed a great passion for dressage that continues to this day. Currently she has 3 horses of her own and teaches lessons to kids of all ages. Her recent interests include cattle sorting, trail riding, teaching dressage, western riding, and hunt seat lessons. Although she is. able to teach of all disciplines.
